Experian's FamilySecure.com

Summary

Although Experian Consumer Direct practically invented online credit reporting, they didn't become #1 in America by resting on their laurels. In 2007, it was decided that we needed a completely new product to offer consumers something no other company could. The company created an uber-aggressive deadline to create and launch FamilySecure.com. The new product was very well received by Experian's corporate offices and was awarded with their 2007 Product of the Year award.

Lead Designer employed by Experian Consumer Direct, owner of FamilySecure.com.

Challenge

Design an entire website for a new family-oriented credit monitoring product and update Experian.com and freecreditreport.com to reflect new product options... in 17 days. If that wasn't enough, would it impress you to learn that the product hadn't been fully defined throughout those two and a half weeks? Needless to say, we completed the project on time. How's that for delivering the goods in record time?

Solutions

Obviously, there wasn't much time to sleep or go to the movies or read bedtime stories to my kids, but in the end we made it with flying colors. The new product was very profitable and ultimately helped redefine internal processes while molding the future for new products across all channels.
