My deep sadness for the events that took place on September 11, 2001 , channelled into eagerness when I was hired to help with the actual 9/11 Commission's Official Report. They wanted an interactive timeline that could present the hijackers geographical locations for nearly two years prior to the event. Unfortunately, the Commission decided to publish a website that mirrored the hard copy, leaving out the dynamic ideas they began with. Nevertheless, it was a privilege to provide my services for such a profound effort.
Hired to create interactive presentation for 9/11 Commission's Official Report.
Develop a presentation that showed movement of all 19 hijackers from January 2000 to September 11, 2001. Two maps, US and World versions, needed the ability to display any one of the following chronological progressions: individual hijackers, groups by flight, leaders only, or everyone at once. The timeline also needed to play by itself or allow user interaction.
It's not sexy but it is one of the more robust Flash applications I've created. Pulling the data from XML, this presentation is layered with functionality. In fact, I even created more than what was requested, with common sense interactivity, like zooming and map-maneuvering. Although it didn't get published, the Commission's representative was very impressed that we delivered the project on time with creativity and thoroughness that exceeded expectations. What kind of goals does your business have?
